All Church FastMonday, February 22, 2010Day 6Psalm 36:1-9 (English Standard Version) 1 Transgression speaks to the wicked deep in his heart; there is no fear of God before his eyes.  2 For he flatters himself in his own eyes that his iniquity cannot be found out and hated.  3 The words of his mouth are trouble and deceit; he has ceased to act wisely and do good.  4 He plots trouble while on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he does not reject evil. 5 Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the clouds.  6 Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; Your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O LORD.  7 How precious is Your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.  8 They feast on the abundance of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of Your delights.  9 For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light do we see light. John 8:12 (New Living Translation)Jesus, the Light of the WorldJesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” Prayer:  Father God, it is the wickedness of our own fallen nature that gives ear to "transgression" when it speaks.  It is inside each of us that our own carnality (Adamic nature) gives ear to the lie, "our sin will not be found out."  In our flesh response to sin, we forget that You hate evil.  Our fallen nature is "yearning" to act unwisely and is forever plotting to do bad things.  But, we can Praise You, Oh Lord, for Your loving mercy, that doesn't give up on us.  You have saved us from the darkness of our souls and allowed us to experience the delightful abundance of Your loving faithfulness.  You have brought us into Your light and exposed the darkness within us.  In Your Son, Jesus Christ, we have discovered the Light of the World.  Your glorious brilliance radiating through Your Holy Son.  In His light we have found eternal life.  Your Light radiates within us and leads us to life.  We pray Your light will continue to increase in our lives and displace all remaining darkness.  Help us to become beacons of Your glory - shining lights into the darkness of this world.  We now turn to these prayer requests as we call upon You:1. Complete healing for Jack Aknin, from all cancer in his body. 2. Complete healing and miraculous physical restoration for Josh Lewis.3. Complete healing for Doug Keith. 4. A local good-paying job for Jor Bratko.5. Financial provision for the Avilla family and their ministry, Advocate for Orphans. 6. Protection for Harmon and Teri Parker in Kenya, Africa.7. For Kingsway members to faithfully become the revelation of Your Goodness, the demonstration of Your Power, and the manifestation of Your Wisdom to the people around us. 8. And then, for my own personal needs, my marriage, my children.Father, thank you for hearing these prayers.  They are being brought before you in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ.  AMEN!
