Pastor John Isaacs KingsWay Community Church June 3, 2007
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Glory Of God: But as truly, as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord. (Numbers 14:21)
The Glory of God In The Church: 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12, Colossians 1:27
The Church’s Mission: Filling the “Waste Places” in the earth with the Glory of the Lord. (Isaiah 51:3)
The GOODNESS of God is His Character Revealed: Exodus 34:6-7, Galatians 5:22-23
The GREATNESS of God is His POWER Demonstrated: 1 Corinthians 2:4
Definition of Spiritual Gifts: charismata (Greek) means “with grace”: The special grace or favor, from the Holy Spirit, denoting extraordinary powers which distinguishes certain Christians and enables them to serve the church. The reception of these gifts is due to the power of divine grace operating in their lives by the Holy Spirit. Three groups of gifts: Revelation Gifts, Power Gifts, and Speaking Gifts (1 Corinthians 12:4-10).
Gift of Faith: 1 Corinthians 12:9
Greek word = pistis: A strong ________________ of a truth, a confident _____________ in something, a complete _____________ in something.
Biblical Definition: Hebrews 11:1

Biblical Examples of Faith: Matthew 8:13, Matthew 9:29, Matthew 14:28, Mark 2:5
Spiritual Gift of Faith: The divine enablement to act of God’s promises with confidence and unwavering
belief that God will do what He says He will do. The supernatural ability to see what isn’t, believe it to
be, and trust God to do it in His way and time. The spiritual ability to envision what God wants to
happen and to be certain He is going to do it, even when there is no concrete evidence
6. Distinctives:
A person is fully persuaded that God has the ________ to work everything according to His will.
A prompting from God to__________ Him for the supernatural, to continue even when there are difficult circumstances.
A complete trust that God’s will, destiny and purpose will be ______________________.
A supernatural ability to ask God for what is needed and ___________ upon His provision before it is seen.
Do You Have This Gift?
Have you had the experience of knowing God was performing something before it happened?
Have you had the experience of knowing God’s will with certainty?
Have you been able to go on believing God will act in a situation in spite of evidence to the contrary?
Cautions:
Don’t become depressed or angry when the answer to a prayer is delayed.
Remember that you have faith to act but others might not be able to act on your faith.
Don’t begin to think that it is your faith that is doing mighty things.
Don’t become critical of others who are doubting.
Remember that people who plan, think practically, and speak with reason might not lack faith.
Don’t become preoccupied with any of the spiritual gifts. Keep your relationship with Jesus the most important thing in your life.
